CSX Q417 is seen cruising past Bound Brook NJ on the Conrail Shared Assets Lehigh Line (CSX Trenton Sub), with CSX C40-8 #7521 leading.
Reader matuuop555 talks about the CSX C40-8 for Train Simulator
Although Norflok Southern owns 89 of these standard-cab units, they aren't the only owners of these engines. CSXT owns 156 of these units, 10 of them are ex-Conrail. Although most of them wear either YN3 or YN3b paint, there are still some that are in YN2 paint. The NS Dash 8 is fun to drive, but CSX would be a lot more fun. This route could be a good add-on for the Miami-West Palm Beach Route, for hauling trains from rock, to trashing on Train Simulator 2016.
This locomotive could also look good on the Norfolk Southern Coal District route. Since CSX has trackage rights over the NS Mon Line, it would indeed be possible to see heavy CSX coal trains powered by the C40-8 in Train Simulator.
Thanks for Reading!
