Amtrak F40PH 90250 (Control Unit) in Portland, OR

Train Simulator over the past few years has built many routes that offer both passenger and freight services in the US such as Aurora-Chicago, Miami - West Palm Beach and Soldier Summit. However they haven't built what is undeniably one of the best routes for this category: the Seattle - Portland Route.

The track is owned by Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) which most often runs oil trains, mixed freight, containers from ships in the ports of Seattle and Tacoma, and grain.

In addition Amtrak runs multiple trains on the route. The Amtrak Cascades run between Vancouver, BC and Eugene, OR with most of its traffic between Portland and Seattle running 10 trains per day usually using a F59PHI, Talgo cars and a F40PH in the rear. In addition Amtrak's Coast Starlight which runs between Seattle and Los Angeles runs along the route.

It is about 40 miles longer than the current longest route for Train Simulator at almost 200 miles long.
