Over the Easter weekend we gave you a series of Extreme Challenges which you all valiantly tackled with patience and determination. The challenges were Extreme and the rules weren't so easy either but you achieved your mission and mastered your machines.
We were overwhelmed with how many of you attempted the challenges and we received a huge number of entries for each of the stages. The competition was extremely tough to judge as the timings you achieved were so close and it literally came down to just a second as to who would claim first place!
We have now completed our assessment of your screenshots and we are now pleased to present the winners (and their chosen prizes):
STAGE ONE - ACELA EXPRESS EXTREME CHALLENGE WINNERS
STAGE TWO - CLASS 365 EXTREME CHALLENGE WINNERS
STAGE THREE - MRCE BR 185.5 EXTREME CHALLENGE WINNERS
We hope you will join us in congratulating all the winners for beating the extreme and mastering their machines. All of the winners will be contacted over the next few days and provided with their Steam Keys to redeem their prizes.
Thank you to everyone who took part and if you didn't win a prize, don't worry, there are plenty more competitions to come!
Screenshot Competition Draw Update
For those who are still waiting to hear about the latest Screenshot Competition winners. We have decided that, due to the highlighted problems with the Engine Driver poll feature, the competition draw is now void as it would be entirely unfair to the finalists to draw based on the results. Each of the finalists will be given a loco of their choice and we will be contacting them directly to arrange this.
We apologise for the problems of the poll feature and it appears to be beyond our control presently so we will be unable to proceed with further competitions drawn in this way. We are working toward a solution and ask that you bear with us while we look at suitable means to draw winners.
Your Article Submissions
Finally, we have a huge number of articles that have been submitted by you over the last couple of weeks and we will be looking to start publishing these from Monday. Thank you to everyone who has put considerable effort into an article and submitted it to us, Engine Driver would not be what it is without you so please do keep them coming. As promised, we will be looking to award a weekly prize to the best article published during the week - so get writing and it could be you!
